Karla Riebartsch is an animation director from Hamburg with a focus on 2D animation. After completing an internship in motion design and a classical drawing course at the Animation Workshop in Denmark, she studied animation with a focus on directing at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. She graduated with Underdogs, a proof of concept short film for a 2D animated sitcom. During her mobility year she completed an internship at the animation studio Fabian&Fred. She is interested in stories that tell the bigger picture on a small scale.
