Anna Matacz was born in Warsaw/Poland. She studied media and theatre science at the University Bayreuth (Bachelor of arts) and film production at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. She focused on Animation & Visual Effects.

2013 she graduated as Diploma-Film- and TV-producer.

From 2013 she worked at Mackevision media design GmbH as Account- and project manager for Asian automotive companies.

2015 she returned to Filmakademie as Head of Production at Animationsinstitut.
