Anna Matacz was born in Warsaw/Poland. After graduation she worked at a advertising agency from 2003 to 2005. Afterwards she studied media and theatre science at the University Bayreuth (Bachelor of arts).
To get more exerience at practical working in film business she started to study film production at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. She focused on Animation & Visual Effects.

2013 she graduated as Diploma-Film- and TV-prodcuer.

From 2013 she worked as a freelance producer and started to work at Mackevision media design GmbH as Account- and project manager for Asian automotive companies.

2015 she returned to Filmakademie as Head of Production in the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and digital postproduction
