Cosima Maria Degler studied film and television production at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. 2011/2012 she received a scholarship of the VFF. She got the producer's award from the Sehsüchte Film Festival 2013 for her German-Swedish co-production GEISTER, DIE ICH RIEF. The cinema film TWO MOTHERS (OT: ZWEI MÜTTER) which celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale 2013 and won the prize of the DFJW „dialogue en perspective“ was her thesis diploma project. Because of her achievements regarding this movie she not only got nominated for the Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis (Upcoming Talent Award) in the category „Best Production“. Moreover she was awarded the FIRST STEPS NO FEAR award dedicated to brave producers in compliment to Bernd Eichinger. Furthermore she received the Hollywood scholarship of the VGF in Los Angeles. 2013 Cosima Maria Degler started working in Berlin as a producer for international co-productions at the company unafilm (CEO: Titus Kreyenberg). 2014 she took part in Berlinale Talents, got chosen by the Robert-Bosch-Stiftung for the project lab „Become A Co-Producer“ in Jordan and also got invited to Durban Talents in July. In 2017 her film MILLENNIALS premiered at Berlinale, Perspektive Deutsches Kino.
